The Seniors’ Advocate newspaper began in 1983, and is eastern Canada’s largest newspaper dedicated to those aged 50 plus. We publish 9 times per year and receive no funding of any kind other than the revenue from advertising, which supports our readership.
We are dedicated to promote the interests of citizens aged 50 plus and to serve as a communications link.
Articles covered within our pages include various topics, including: health care and fitness, travel, finance, housing, regional news and human interest stories.
The Seniors’ Advocate is distributed in bulk to senior citizen’s complexes and clubs/organizations, homes for special care, hospitals and doctor offices, government offices, The Senior Citizen’s Secretariat, pharmacies, book stores, variety stores, and grocery stores throughout Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. As well, there are many copies delivered outside of the area by subscription and bulk delivery.
You will find single copies available free of charge (while they last) at these participating locations, just to name a few:
Sobeys, Pharmasave, PharmaChoice, Canadian Tire, Superstore, and Wal-Mart throughout Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
